week 9: i only have one more project due for my studio and media productions classes. the quarter truly flies by so much quicker when youre stressed and kept busy the whole damn time. i'm already studying for finals... well, i only have one in class final exam and one paper due this quarter compared to last quarter.

short #8: thanks bev, ron, and louray for starring in it. there were mixed reactions in my film in class. my professor and classmates either found it intriguing, disturbing, or both. in my perspective, the turnout had a similar effect on me. when the idea for this short was circulated and understood by all of us, it was appealing. shooting it was entertaining. watching it left me speechless. the first scene of the female victim being brutalized and thrown into the trunk of a car was disturbing. the second scene when the female victim was forced to her knees to beg for her life and eventually shot in the head was horrific! the third scene about harassment relieved the tension in the previous scenes. truthfully, i was afraid to show my short to the whole class. i expected the mixed reactions and the obscenities during my critique and the constant jab of questions. it was my first dark/sadistic film i've ever shot... but it wasn't purposeful. i had so much explaining to do during my critique and i tried as much as i could to lighten the situation, but i don't think i was successful. however, the controversy i caused in class intrigued my professor, which is why i think my grade for this project is going to be fine.

i need snacks during my studying for finals sessions. someone buy me a big bag of pirates booty in white cheddar, please!!!
