on happenstance

We are not bound to a script prewritten, but rather we write our own book with our own ending.

taken from an essay which was successful in persuading me about freewill and the naive idea about destiny and fate. the thought of destiny still remains as the power of higher entity whether we believe it or not. i truly believe that there is one special person for another, a soul mate, a partner for life. perhaps it's because im a girl that i believe in this... but really, there is someone out there for each person. not only do we see it documented in film (fiction or not, most love stories are inspired by true love and life experiences), but i, too, have heard and seen the idea of predestined lives blossom into their fate.

newlyweds: ya know what i heard? britney wants to be the next newlywed couple on mtv. hmmm, that would be sort of interesting... ehhh... but then again, not really. with nick and jessica, the public nor the paparazzi barely knew them. they led semi-quiet lives, prematurely not-so-superstar status. therefore, people tuned into the show were curious about their personalities and how they lived their lives. now that most people have seen the show, they have either fallen in love with couples' chemistry, or hate jessica for being such a ditz (at first i did), or pity nick for marrying such a ditz. in actuality, i think nick and jessica as the original newlywed couple should only be the newlywed couple. mtv, this is my plea to please please please, don't allow britney and kevin to be the follow up of the newlywed show. if you do want the show to continue, please choose another couple. britney will only bring disaster to the network... and again, contribute to her sordid reputation, as i have mentioned before.

us weekly: jake gyllenhaal was recently seen begging kirsten dunst to come back to him. shockingly, he misses her, even though he was the one who left her hanging. i thought he grew restless with her and her party girl persona, but i guess opposites do attract. once you allow someone to grow on you, they become fungus, itching for your attention and growing on you on a daily basis. kirsten dunst as a fungus is uncurable, according to jake gyllenhaal. eek!

"a meal without red wine is like a day without sunshine" - italian proverb: i had a glass of rose wine at buca, and guess what?! with all the partying my liver's accomplished and experienced, i would've expected a glass of red wine to not affect me -- but it did! it crept up on me. at first i sipped it. then i gulped it. next thing you know, i was downing it to the last drop. it was certainly delicious and the food tasted scrumptuous. that was a great dinner, <3! my buca special: spaghetti with garlic bread. doomo arigatoo chris-san! on the way back to horton from buca, i was too stubborn to admit to chris that my legs were flimsy! for sure, walking in heels didn't help at all. with huge ass potholes on the streets, i was, err, i tried to be very cautious with every step i took.

my week's end: ok, so this weekend is going to be super fcukin fun! melin told me that teresa's m.i.t. engineer friends were recruited to work for hp in the san diego headquarters, and the first thing they want to do is go to downtown. hell yes! hmmm, maybe friday or saturday ON BROADWAY! cool! i have yet to experience a boushey-boushey(?) place. and now, there's a reason to go shopping! yay! im trying to limit my sporadic spending charades (awww, i love shoes goddammit!) because i don't really need new stuff. my new project im personally funding is my new room. hopefully, i'll be finished this weekend cuz next week, my city college classes begin. oh god, this semester, im finally continuing my calc classes. i've held off on my math g.e. requirements for several quarters now. goddamn, this fall quarter/semester is going to hit me hard. i hope i don't go insane and fall into depression.

tj & sd: ok, just spoke to bev about our very last week of summer celebration, and dude, we are sooo going to go out with a bang to kiss off the coolest summer yet! chi-yah! ok, porky's and downtown here we come! i love 80s music! bev, do your molly ringwald dance! woooo!

fall semester: yah, my sdsu friends begin school next week also. im gonna leave work early to attend the first day of school with bev. they're all planning to attend their first day of classes crunked! dude, count me in! louie's pub, is it? yes, i will so be there!

at work: awww, a cute little boy of 13 or 14 years drew something for me. aww! the cute thing was, he was shy about giving his artwork to me! :) kawaiiiii! "i drew this, do you like it? well... (looks down at his work and figits with his fingers) this is for you," then smiles at me. awww! he even signed his work, haha! awww! before he left he said, "bye! =) hope you like the picture." what a charmer!

i was not sick!: im glad so many people at my work noticed my leave of absence yesterday. did they not receive my ccmail? i sent it to everyone to inform them of my absence on the basis of school. duh! i got phone calls, personal visits from coworkers with worried looks and sincere "welcome backs" and "get wells." i guess it's because for the past month, i've been calling in sick due to horrible cramps and allergy attacks. thanks for caring ya'll! i really feel loved! but please, no need to worry. im healthy as i can ever be! =)

CDs i want... NOW!:
- modest mouse (i still want it!)
- snow patrol
- g love and special sauce
- maroon 5 acoustic album (adam is so hot!)

I have the Modest Mouse CD, the Maroon 5 Acoustic, and I'm gonna get the G-Love CD sometime this week... so if you want copies, just tell me. Dude, go to street scene with me on Saturday. Jack Johnson, Donavon Frankenreiter, G-Love and Special Sauce will be performing!
